Apple or Peach Crisp

1 quart apple pie filling or 1 quart canned peaches, drained and sliced
(If using peaches, sprinkle with cinnamon)

*To use fresh apples, mix 2/3 cup sugar, 1 1/4 water, 3 Tablespoons clear gel or cornstarch in a saucepan. Add 4 cups peeled and sliced apples. Heat just until boiling and slightly thickened, stirring lightly. Remove from heat and add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon allspice.

Spread fruit of choice from above in 8-inch square baking dish

3/4 cup quick oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup butter

Mix topping ingredients together and spread across fruit. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
